Retiree Vision Discount Plan

Effective February 1, 2023, qualified Teamster retirees and their spouses (if applicable) can enroll in a Vision Discount Plan through Allegiant Care. The current cost of the plan is $100 per person per year, which covers a routine eye exam and provides access to discounted eyewear when services are rendered by an in-network EyeMed provider.  Discounted pricing means greater value for your money.

See below for a high-level summary of what you can receive for $100!

Benefit	Your cost (not including the $100 premium)
Routine eye exam	No additional cost
Frames	No additional cost for frames that retail for $90 or less.  If you choose frames that cost more than $90, you will receive a 20% discount off any balance over the $90 allowance.
Single vision lenses (for glasses)	No additional cost
Multifocal or progressive lenses, lens coating and other lens options	You will pay more for these options. Your cost varies by type of lens or lens option. Refer to Schedule of Benefits in the Summary Plan Description (SPD) for more information.
Contact lenses (in lieu of glasses)	No additional cost for contact lenses up to $90 or less.  You will receive a 15% discount off any balance over the $90 allowance.
