Vision Benefits Announcement

Allegiant Care is pleased to announce exciting enhancements to your vision benefit. Effective January 1, 2023, EyeMed Vision Care (“EyeMed”) will be your new vision carrier providing more network options and better plans.

Will My Benefits Change?

Allegiant Care has worked closely with EyeMed to design custom plans that are comparable to or better than your current vision benefits. A detailed side-by-side comparison of your current benefits with the new plan was mailed on November 1 and can be viewed when logged into your Allegiant Care Member Profile.

Is My Vision Provider In-Network?

When compared to Davis Vision and VSP, the EyeMed provider network is larger and more diverse. The EyeMed provider network includes many of the same independent vision providers members have used under the current plans, but the EyeMed network also includes several national and online retailers such as LensCrafters, Pearle Vision, and Glasses.com. 

To find in-network providers near you, go to www.eyemed.com and select the “Insight” network from the network dropdown.

Online Options!

After January 1, 2023, you will also have online options for your eye care. Click here for more details.

More Details to Be Provided by Mail

All members with vision benefits will receive a Welcome Kit and ID cards in mid to late December. After January 1, 2023, you will also be able to create an account on EyeMed’s website or mobile app for electronic access to your benefit information.

A Summary Plan Description (SPD) document will be mailed in late December or early January.
